CHATHAM, NJ - Chatham residents wishing to see the inner-workings of their local government up close will get a chance Friday, April 12 when all are invited to visit the Chatham Borough Municipal Building located at 54 Fairmount Ave.
The "Open House" will run from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. and include refreshments provided by Chatham Bagel as part of NJ Local Government Week.
The event, organized by borough council members Vicki Fife and Carolyn Dempsey and Janice Piccolo, director of community services, will include an intellectual scavenger hunt for children and trucks parked outside the municipal building for kids to touch. Washington Avenue School students have accepted an invitation to attend.

The NJ Local Government week activities in Chatham Borough will include a walk of the Riverside Trail on Saturday, April 13, from 9:45 a.m. to 11 a.m. Those who wish to participate will meet in the parking lot of Shepard Kollock Park.
Also on Saturday, Chatham Borough Council members invite residents to have "Coffee with a Council Member" at DRIP Coffee on Main Street from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
