TRENTON, NJ - Chatham Middle School student Neil Yanchen Song was among the essay contest winners recognized at the 2020 Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Commemorative Event held Sunday at the NJ State Museum auditorium.

Song was selected from among 500 contestants for his essay and was congratulated by NJ Secretary of State Tahesha Way and George V. Guy Jr., chairman of the NJ Martin Luther King Jr. Commission.

The essay subject was on 10 women leaders of the movement for civil rights and equal justice, and how their legacy related to Dr. Martin Luther King.
