CHATHAM, NJ - The Chatham Borough Health Officer reported a 77-year-old male had contracted the Coronavirus over the weekend, pushing the total reported cases for the Chathams at 25 through March 31.

According to Chatham Borough: Our Chatham Borough Health Officer was notified about one (1) additional adult resident that has tested positive for the COVID-19 virus over the weekend for a total of twelve (12) positive cases. This most recent case a 77-year-old male. There were no cases reported for today. For patient confidentiality purposes, specific details will not be released. As is standard protocol, our health department is monitoring and investigating the case including contact tracing and notifying appropriate parties. Self-quarantining protocols are in place.

Chatham Township Mayor Michael Kelly announced that five new cases of Coronavirus have been confirmed in the township, with one reported on Sunday and another four on Monday, March 30.

That put Chatham Township's number of confirmed cases at 13 and Chatham Borough at 12 for a total of 25 cases in the Chathams.
