CHATHAM, NJ - Chatham Superintendent Michael LaSusa sent out a message to district parents with recommendations from the New Jersey Department of Health in regard to the Coronavirus that originated in China and has spread throughout the world.

LaSusa also addressed the issue at the BOE meeting on Monday night

The message sent out by the Chatham Superintendent Monday:

The New Jersey Department of Health issued updated guidance for schools today regarding the Coronavirus.  As a school district, we are following the protocols outlined in the guidance memo, which I have attached below for your reference.  Among the recommendations is for parents to contact their child's school if the child has traveled to mainland China in the past 14 days and also for school nurses to provide students with a mask if they present to the health office with respiratory symptoms.  Please take a moment to review the recommendations relative to personal hygiene and also please do not send any child to school unless she or he has been free of fever for at least 24 hours.
