It’s not every day that a person can say they saved someone’s life. But that’s the power of donating blood.

The Presbyterian Church of Chatham Township, in partnership with the American Red Cross, will hold a community blood drive on Sunday, March 8 from 9 a.m. – 2 p.m. at the church at 240 Southern Boulevard.

If you are between the ages of 17 to 76 and in good health, you are a candidate for blood donation. Donors aged 16 can donate with parental permission after proper forms are completed. Most donations take about an hour, so book your appointment, roll up your sleeve and become a part of the lifesaving mission of the Red Cross. Each pint of blood collected can help save up to three lives and will touch the lives of so many more. If you are healthy and eligible, please come out to donate. To check eligibility, visit the American Red Cross website at www.redcrossblood.org.
