Madden Sets Chatham Girls Indoor Shot Put Record at Jack O'Leary Lid Lifter

MADISON, NJ - Cat Madden set a new Chatham school record for the girls shot put on Friday at the Jack O'Leary Lid Lifter indoor track & field meet held at Drew University.

Madden threw the shot put 29 feet, 10.35 inches to break the old mark of 28 feet, six inches.

Freshman guard Jack Rooney, a Chatham High graduate, came off the bench to score a team-high 13 points for Gettysburg in a 77-54 loss to Catholic in Washington, D.C. on Sunday.

Rooney, Chatham's all-time leading scorer in boys basketball, hit four of six shots from the floor, including 3-of-4 of his 3-point attempts. Rooney also had three rebounds, two assists and a steal for the Bullets.
