MORRIS PLAINS, NJ - Ryan Beegle placed first in the freshman boys cross-country two-mile race with a time of 11:18 for Chatham at the Stewart Invitational on Saturday at Greystone Park.

In the varsity race, Chatham managed to finish sixth as a team despite resting its top six runners. Sophomore Sam Ellis led the Cougars with a personal course record time of 17:45 over the 5K course, placing 27th.

In the JV race, Chatham was paced by Jack Davenport, who placed sixth in helping the team finish third.

Beegle and Alex Krack again stood out in finishing first and third, respectively, in the freshman race.

Chatham Varsity top seven: 6th place in an average time of 18:01.
