CHATHAM, NJ - The Chatham girls volleyball team got its week off to a good start by easing past Passaic Arts and Science Charter in straight sets, 25-5, and 25-3, on Monday.
The Cougars now turn their attention to a tough Mendham squad, a team they lost to earlier in the season, on Tuesday in a rematch at Chatham High.
"We have to come out strong against a very good Mendham team we lost two in two sets," Chatham coach Anna Amster said. "We have Morris Hills in the county tournament Saturday at their house."
Chatham (8-6) made quick work of winless Passaic Charter by serving up 18 aces over the two sets, led by Lauren Burke with six (see one below) and five apiece from Greta Luria and Brenda Jaroker, who also collected 13 assists.
