CHATHAM, NJ - Chatham boys basketball players Cam Rooney, E.J. Leskauskas and Andrew Bergman all received recognition on the all-conference team announced by the Northwest Jersey Athletic Conference.

Rooney, a sophomore guard, was named to the All-NJAC first team, and senior forward Leskauskas was selected to the second team. Bergman, whose season was riddled by injuries, received honorable mention.

Rooney hit 45 3-pointers in leading Chatham with 293 points this season. His signature game was the 61-58 overtime win at Roxbury in the opening round of the state tournament. Rooney completed a rare four-point play to tie the game in regulation and force overtime. He then won the game with a 3-pointer in the extra session. Rooney finished the Roxbury game with five 3-pointers and a career-best 26 points.

Rooney also hit a 3-pointer with three seconds left to win the game vs. Somerville, 64-63.

Leskauskas had his season cut short by a concussion, but returned to play in the state tournament. The senior had the single-game high for the Cougars this season with 28 points against Morristown and also produced 25 points in a win over Pope John. 

Bergman played well whenever he was able to take the court, scoring 20 points in a win at Hanover Park.
