NEW YORK - Chatham's 4x200 relay team of Michael Culleton, Ryan Krill, Ben Krill and Sam Viola set a school record on Monday at the Morris County Invitational held at Ocean Breeze on Staten Island.
The meet was Chatham's final winter track tuneup meet before the Group 3 state sectionals set for Friday, Feb. 14 in Toms River. A number of Cougars posted personal records, improving their seeding for the sectionals.
The Chatham 4x200 team placed fourth in a school-record time of 1:33.54. That eclipsed the school mark of 1:35.31 set last year at the same meet by Anthony Scerbo, Michael Culleton, Sam Viola and Aedan Joel.
