MADISON, NJ - Chatham senior Sam Dennerlein broke his own school record by more than a foot in winning the shot put and classmate Anthony Scerbo ran faster than the meet record in placing second at the Cliff Back Invitational boys winter track meet held Thursday at Drew University.

Scerbo broke the meet record in placing second in the 800 with a time of 1:59.34, bettering the old mark of 1:59.75 set in 2017 by Joseph Thoma of West Park.
