Hailey Harkins set a new school record for the Chatham girls swim team when she won the 100-yard backstroke in 58.43, highlighting the Cougars' 94.5 to 75.5 win over Morristown on Thursday.

Morristown won many of the individual races but Chatham held onto the lead by taking second, third and fourth place in most events. The 200 medley relay of Harkins, Delaney Moynihan, Bella Hoie, and Olivia Polemeni placed first and Erica Iizuka touched first in the 100 breaststroke.

The Chatham Boys team defeated Morristown 113 to 54. The 200 medley relay team of Kyle Beebe, Atticus Chang, Mark Albarez, and James Lord and the 400 freestyle relay team of Albarez, Ryan Snarr, Will Nash, and Beebe placed first.

Individually, James Lord won the 50 Freestyle, James Cava the 500 Freestyle, Kyle Beebe the 100 backstroke, and Atticus Chang in the 100 breaststroke. Will Nash and Mark Albarez tied for first place in the 100 butterfly.

Tuesday win over Madison:

James Lord and Matt Stryszak each won two events to fuel Chatham boys swim team past Madison, winning 95 to 67 on Tuesday. The Chatham girls swim team defeated Madison, 92-72.

Stryszak won the 200 and 500 freestyle events and Lord took first in the 50 and 100 freestyle races. The 200 medley relay team of Kyle Beebe, Atticus Chang, Mark Albarez and Lord and the 200 freestyle relay team of Lord, Chang, Stryszak, and Will Nash also took first.

Hailey Harkins took first in the 200 individual medley, Bella Hoie in the 50 Freestyle, Kaley Snarr in the 100 freestyle, Sara Barrett in the 500 freestyle, and Nicole Sim in the 100 backstyle. The 200 Medley Relay team of Harkins, Delaney Moynihan, Hoie, and Anya D’Costa and the 200 freestyle relay team of Flora Jeng, Hoie, Barrett, and Olivia Polemini each placed first.
