MADISON, NJ - Sarah Petitjean won gold medals in both the 1600 and 1000, and Elyse Panagakos took first in the hurdles, second in the high jump and third in the 55-meter dash, fueling the Chatham girls winter track team to the Morris County Sophomore Championship at the Frosh/Soph meet held Monday at Drew University.

Petitjean ran 5:36.99 in the 1600 and won the 1000 in 3:16.56 to earn 20 points for Chatham. Panagakos won the hurdles title in 9.14; cleared 4 feet, 8 inches i the high jump for second and clocked 8.06 in the 55-meter dash for third, piling up 24 points.

Together Petitjean and Panagakos produced 44 of the 56 points won by the Chatham sophomores in placing first ahead of runner-up West Morris, which had 46 points. Panagakos also the 4x400 relay that added six points with a third-place finish.
