NEW YORK - Chatham senior Anthony Scerbo set a school record in the 600-meter run and anchored the second-place 4x400 relay team, helping the Cougar boys place third overall in the Morris County Winter Track Championships held Wednesday at Ocean Breeze.

Scerbo clocked 1:22.13 to win the 600 and break his own Chatham record of 1:26.31 set earlier in the season. Scerbo also ran a 51.5 split to cap the 4x400 relay's second-place finish, moving the Cougars into third place with 41.75 points, ahead of fourth-place Mendham, which had 41 points.

Parsippany won the county title with 48 points, ahead of second-place Delbarton.
