CLARK, NJ - Valley Road School children spend time up close with the emergency responders at their 3rd Annual Muscles and Metals event sponsored by the PTA on September 22.  The day is designed to give students a chance to learn about the various vehicles used to protect and serve the community.

The Clark Police and Fire Departments and the Emergency Rescue Squad were all on hand to provide the students with this annual experience.

Valley Road Principal Joe Beltramba expressed his gratitude to those that attended.   "The event was a huge success. We are so thankful to the Clark Police, Fire Department, and Rescue Squad for their visit. The students enjoyed spending time with the heroes of our town,"  said Beltramba.

 In addition to meeting the members of each department, students enjoyed face painting and a had the opportunity to run on the Ninja Warrior Course and cool down with some Kona Ices.
