WESTFIELD, NJ — A six-year-old girl was discovered not breathing in the Westfield Memorial Pool Saturday afternoon.
The child was pulled from the water at about 4:24 p.m. and was revived, according to Westfield Police Chief David Wayman. She was transported to Overlook Hospital.
“At this time it’s unknown what condition she is in,” Wayman said.
A crowd of people witnessed the rescue efforts. The Westfield Memorial Pool was shut down for the time being.
