ALJ Girls Win a Squeaker, 59-58, in NJSIAA Tournament Play

SPOTSWOOD, NJ – The (12) Lady Crusaders defeated (5) Spotswood in first round play of the NJSIAA Central Jersey, Group 2 girls basketball tournament tonight, 59-58.  Johnson controlled the first half of the game, up by 7 at the break.  Spotswood battled back, coming close to the win but falling short in the end.

Molly Panetta and Stephanie Visconti put in 18 apiece for Johnson.  Panetta pumped in four from the 3-point range, while Visconti led at the free throw line with 6.

Gwynn Marotta led the Spotswood scorers with 22. Mary Beth Barnosky followed up with 13.

The Crusaders will face (4) Governor Livingston on Wednesday night in Central, Group 2, Round 2 play in Berkeley Heights.

NJ American Water Working to Replace Water Mains in Clark

VOORHEES, NJ – New Jersey American Water plans to replace roughly 1,200 feet of water main lines in Clark according to a notice released on May 16.
