CLARK, NJ – Earlier this year, Arthur L. Johnson High School graduate Zack Sandler dived into concert producing with “A Set for Vets” in Asbury Park.  This October he is putting his knowledge to work as an Assistant Production Manager for “Pig Gig 3”.

The third annual Pig Gig, hosted by New Jersey-based band Glenn Alexander & Shadowland, takes place Sunday, October 1st at the Italian American Hall in Scotch Plains. All profits from Pig Gig 3 will go to the Fibrolamellar Cancer Foundation for research.  Glenn Alexander & Shadowland is not only the headliner, as the legendary vocalist and harmonica player SSJ will be playing some tunes as well. He is rumored to be playing some Shadowland songs, as well as a few major hits by Southside Johnny and the Asbury Jukes.

The Lonesome Pines, a roots-based, alt-country band will also be performing at the event.  Sandler says there will be other special musical guests, including a nationally-known and legendary New Jersey-based vocalist and harmonica player.  Sandler got to be in studio with this surprise guest this past year working as a Studio Assistant for their new release.

Pig Gig 3 is also staying true to their name with a pig roast, BBQ and more provided by Swine Time.  There will also be an open beer and wine bar to go along with tons of music.

Tickets for Pig Gig 3 are $40 in advance and available from Ticketbud or on Glenn Alexander’s website. Tickets will also be available for $50 at the door on the day of the show.  The Italian American Hall is located at 1976 Valley Avenue in Scotch Plains, New Jersey.
