CLARK, NJ – Senior Awards night was held at Arthur L. Johnson High School on Tuesday evening. Graduating seniors were on hand to receive scholarships and awards from various businesses, organizations and community groups from Clark and Garwood.
The evening began with the National Anthem sung by five ALJ students, followed by a greeting and a reflective thought from ALJ’s Principal Jennifer Feeley. "Within you lies the ability to do more for others than you can ever imagine. You have made us all incredibly proud and will remain a part of the ALJ family forever. With each success that you earn, remain humble and unassuming, and remember to reach back and pull forward those to who you can teach, give or love because of the person that you have become," said Feeley.
Superintendent Ed Grande took to the stage next and thanked the students and parents for believing in ALJ. "Thank you for believing in us, in this time of high school choices becoming even more popular, you believed in ALJ, you and your parents, you believed in the product we offered and the fruits of that belief are in this room tonight in the awards and financial assistance you are going to get," said Grande.
The evening continued with Feeley serving as master of ceremony inviting scholarship presenters from various community organizations to the stage to present recipients with their awards.
