ALJ Wrestling Record Stands with Anthony Priore, Class of 2007

To the Editor,

On February 20, 2016, an article was posted on TAP into Clark about one of our fine wrestlers, Kyle Gregorio, breaking the school record in career wins when he registered the 108th varsity win of his stellar career. (Wrestler Kyle Gregorio Breaks ALJ's All-Time Win Record)

Although we are proud of Kyle and his career, the information in this article was incorrect. The Arthur L. Johnson High School Varsity Wrestling record for wins is held by Anthony Priore, class of 2007, with a varsity record of 123-15.

Since the record set by Priore was achieved under former Arthur L. Johnson Head Wrestling Coach Nick Cilento there there was some confusion over the actual standing record.  After further investigation, it is clear Priore still holds the record.

Anthony had a stellar career at ALJ and made it to the NJSIAA State Championships held in Atlantic City three out of his four years as a Crusader. Upon graduation, he wrestled at Sacred Heart University for the Pioneers.

Kyle will continue his quest for a State Championship as he is wrestling this week in the Regionals, being held at Union High School.

Politics IS Government in Union County

April 21, 2018

After Bruce Patrson of Garwood was stopped from speaking at the Union County freeholder meeting of March 22 regarding the politics behind refusing to give the party line to a sitting freeholder I thought this brazen suppression of free speech could not go unanswered. At the the April 19 meeting I answered with these comments.

After ten years of following government in Union County I conclude ...
