CLARK, NJ -  Senior cheerleaders were front and center at Thursday night's Arthur L. Johnson High School senior recognition ceremony, held before the school's girls varsity basketball game. 

Cheerleaders Mercedes Broski, Christie Bove, Jennifer Casalino, Cristina Casimiro, Alexa Cutro, Alexandra Dorey, Katherine Elichko, Krista Ginesi and Carissa Vuono were recognized for their contribution to the squad.  Corinne Pencinger was absent. The girls posed for pictures with family members. 

The cheer competition team is currently undefeated this season.

The team performed between quarters, demonstrating their hard work and athleticism.

The Johnson Crusaders went on to defeat the Scotch Plains-Fanwood Raiders by a final score of 56-39 to improve to 8-9 on the season, bettering their chances at the conference championship.
