Bonaccorso Proclaims Italian-American Heritage Month in Clark

CLARK, NJ – Mayor Sal Bonaccorso officially recognized National Italian American Heritage Month in the town of Clark by proclamation at Monday night’s Clark Town Council workshop meeting.

The mayor presented the proclamation to current President of Clark UNICO Joe Arancio and Recreation Director and former President of Clark UNICO Ralph Bernardo.  “I’m very proud to present this to Joe and Ralph tonight, they are great Italian-Americans, great citizens of Clark, great members of UNICO and friends to all of us,” said Bonaccorso.

The proclamation arrives just in time for the community to join UNICO at their annual Italian-American Feast starting Thursday October 5 through Sunday October 8, 2017.

Cranford Man Dies after Wrong-Way Crash on Route 9

April 10, 2018

WOODBRIDGE, NJ – A Cranford man died after his car collided with another vehicle on Route 9 on Sunday.

Thomas McHugh, 88, was driving north in the southbound fast lane on Route 9, where he crashed head-on into another vehicle. On impact, one of the cars caught fire, according to Sgt. Jim Chessere of the Woodbridge Police Department.
