LINDEN, NJ -- The Union Catholic bowling team came storming back to defeat Rahway to earn his first win of the season to  give Meggie Smith her first victory as head coach on Wednesday at Jersey Lanes.


The Vikings, now 1-3 on the season, lost the first game vs. Rahway, 845-790. But the Vikings came back to win the second game, 749-712, and the third game 851-770 to clinch the victory.

Danielle Galarza led the charge for the Vikings with a team-high series of 567, which included games of 211 and 192. CJ Tomalavage added a series of 500 for UC, including a 196 in the third game, and Liam Quinn (series of 480), Isabella Fuentes (series of 440), and Alex Gorodensky (series of  403), all contributed to the victory.   
  
Union Catholic will be back in action on Thursday vs. Scotch Plains-Fanwood at 3:30 p.m. at Jersey Lanes.
