As New Jersey students returned to school, ALJ announced the September Crusader of the Month is Brooke Gallo. This award is given to a senior at ALJ that has demonstrated outstanding involvement at the school and in the community, typically benefiting worthy charities and institutions. Brooke has been the President of Key Club for the past two years, where she is an integral part of the planning and executing of the many events the Key Club leads every year. She participates in Unified Basketball and Soccer, and many other service related activities and events. She has also been the captain of the Varsity tennis team for the last two years.

Brooke enjoys participating in beauty pageants including winning the Miss Garden State Teen America in 2019. She went on to represent New Jersey at the national competition. She also received accolades from her participation in Miss NJ Teen USA where she earned the Miss Humanitarian award twice.

In addition to her local role in Key Club, Brooks has served as Lieutenant Governor for the New Jersey Key Club. In her spare time, she enjoys volunteering through Key Club and supporting the Special Olympics.
