CLARK, NJ – Multiple arrests on unrelated burglary, gun and drug charges were made in the township over this past weekend, according to Clark Chief of Police Pedro Matos.

On Sunday morning, a Delia Terrace resident reported his car had been burglarized, Matos said. Officers responded to the area and conducted a search that resulted in the arrest of Khalid Walker, 43, of Elizabeth. Walker was arrested for hindering apprehension and burglary to a motor vehicle, he said.

According to Matos, burglaries from vehicles were reported on St. Germain Drive, Delia Terrace and Malvern Drive over Saturday night into Sunday morning.

On Saturday night, Officer Michael Hernandez of the Clark Police Department arrested Travis Fongh, 28, of Roselle, after a traffic stop, Matos said. Fongh was found in possession of a stolen 45-caliber handgun and drugs. He was arrested for possession of a controlled dangerous substance (CDS), possession of CDS paraphernalia, unlawful possession of a handgun and receiving stolen property, according to the department’s weekly police blotter.

“Both Walker and Fongh were remanded to the Union County jail,” Matos said.

Multiple witnesses reported a traffic stop on Central Avenue near Burger King on Sunday night. Matos said that incident began with a reported shoplifting from ShopRite.

“That resulted in an arrest for warrants and controlled dangerous substance also,” Matos said.

According to the blotter, two additional drug arrests were made in the township on Saturday evening and Sunday morning.
