CRANFORD, NJ - February 7, 2018 – Carlos F. Arias, Private Wealth Advisor with Ameriprise Financial in Cranford, NJ has been named a recipient of the 2018 Five Star Wealth Manager award by Five Star Professional for the 6th consecutive year. The award goes to less than seven percent of the wealth managers in the region based on research administered by Five Star Professional, a third party research firm.

To receive the 2018 Five Star Wealth Manager award, a wealth manager must meet 10 objective eligibility and evaluation criteria associated with providing quality services to clients including client retention rates, client assets administered, firm review and favorable regulatory and complaint history.

Arias graduated from the School of Business at Rutgers College with a degree in business management. He has 19 years of experience with Ameriprise Financial.

Cranford Man Dies after Wrong-Way Crash on Route 9

WOODBRIDGE, NJ – A Cranford man died after his car collided with another vehicle on Route 9 on Sunday.

Thomas McHugh, 88, was driving north in the southbound fast lane on Route 9, where he crashed head-on into another vehicle. On impact, one of the cars caught fire, according to Sgt. Jim Chessere of the Woodbridge Police Department.
