MERCER COUNTY, NJ - Mercer County officials confirmed that a former Clark resident is accountable for the death of an ex-girlfriend on New Year’s Eve in 2017.  

“All facts in this case indicate that Federico Terribile is responsible for the death of Gladys Barrera and the attempted murder of Angel Solis. Our case has been closed pending any other investigative leads that develop,” said Mercer County Prosecutor’s Public Information Officer, Casey DeBlasio in an email to TAPinto Clark.

Barrera, 45 was shot dead on December 31. 2017 in Trenton.  37-year-old Solis was also shot and survived.   Barrera was the former fiancé of Terribile according to his Facebook posts around the time of her death.

Several days after Barrera’s murder, Terribile, 58 was found dead of a self-inflicted gunshot wound amidst smoky conditions in his Terhune Road home in Clark.  At the time, officials suspected the fire was set by Terribile.
