Clark Art Teachers to Exhibit at Gallery U in Westfield

WESTFIELD, NJ – One Carl H. Kumpf Middle School and two Arthur L. Johnson High School art teachers will have their personal artwork featured in an upcoming exhibition at Gallery U in Westfield. CHK’s Thomas Peitz and ALJ’s Janice Gossman and Brad Terhune are among the group of 17 artists to exhibit in “Back to School: An Exhibition Celebrating New Jersey Art Teachers.”

The special exhibition is comprised of artwork of various mediums and styles. “Back to School” is curated by Robert P. Langdon. 

An opening reception is scheduled for Friday, Sept. 4, 2015, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. and the public is welcome to attend.  “Back to School” will be on exhibit through October 5, 2015.

Cranford Man Dies after Wrong-Way Crash on Route 9

WOODBRIDGE, NJ – A Cranford man died after his car collided with another vehicle on Route 9 on Sunday.

Thomas McHugh, 88, was driving north in the southbound fast lane on Route 9, where he crashed head-on into another vehicle. On impact, one of the cars caught fire, according to Sgt. Jim Chessere of the Woodbridge Police Department.
