ELIZABETH, NJ - The Township of Clark was awarded a $25,000 grant through the Union County Kids Recreation Trust Fund program.  The funds were presented to Mayor Sal Bonaccorso and Recreation Director Ralph Bernardo at the Union County Freeholders meeting held last evening.

The Kids Recreation Trust Fund matching grant program was established in 2004.  Grants are awarded for the rebuilding, refurbishing, expansion or construction of parks and other recreational facilities throughout Union County.

According to Bernardo, the funds received last evening will be matched by the Board of Education  and be used for improvements to the wrestling room at the Arthur L. Johnson High School.  A call to the Clark Board of Education was not immediately returned.
