CLARK, NJ – The Clark Board of Education meets regularly to determine the mission, vision and direction of town schools. Starting today, TAP into Clark will feature a Focus on the Facts series about the Clark Board of Education to give readers an opportunity to test or grow their knowledge about this governing body.
The series will continue each day leading up to the 2015 Candidates Night at ALJ High School on October 15.
Here is the first Focus on the Facts:
BOE members are elected by the public and serve three year terms in these volunteer positions. Board members work together to establish and manage district goals and policies, legal affairs, negotiations and personnel issues.
Any citizen of the community can run for the Clark BOE. Contact the Union County Clerk’s office for more details on filing an application for elected office. Applications to run for office must be submitted by the July prior to the November election.
