RAHWAY, NJ - Rahway High School Athletic Director Thomas Lewis, who also serves on the Clark Board of Education, was arrested and charged with aggravated assault in Rahway on Dec. 28, 2014.

The charges stemmed from an altercation between Lewis and a spectator during the John Butch Kowal Basketball tournament, when a police officer attempted to intercede. Lewis allegedly pushed the police officer in the chest, according to a police news release.

“I’m working with an attorney and I’m completely innocent,” said Lewis when reached for comment.
