CLARK, NJ – The Clark Council held a special council meeting for the public hearing of two ordinances which were ultimately adopted by the council.
Ordinance 17-23 allows the township to make improvements and acquire furniture for certain offices within the municipal complex. The total cost of these improvements and purchases is $35,000 and will be funded through the township’s capital surplus.
Ordinance 17-24 amends Chapter 306 of the township’s code to allow for periodic inspections and reporting of privately owned storm water management facilities.
No objections were received regarding either ordinance.
Two resolutions were also approved during the special council meeting. The first transferred funds within the 2017 Municipal Budget. The Council acting as the ABC Council authorized Rotondos and Wine Anthology to extend their business hours until 10 p.m. on both Christmas Eve (12/24) and New Years Eve (12/31). Township Clerk Edie Merkel explained that since these holidays both fall on a Sunday this year, the liquor stores would have closed at 5 p.m.
