CLARK, NJ – Thanks to the Cub Scouts of Pack 145 in Clark, hundreds of sandwiches went to the Saint Joseph Social Service Center in Elizabeth to feed the hungry.

Scouts along with their leaders and parents donated bread and sandwich meat, and then assembled the sandwiches.  According to scout leaders, it was a great learning experience for the boys and a meaningful way to represent the scout oath in service to others.

St. Joseph's has served the poor and homeless community of greater Elizabeth since 1983.  They provide items such as food, clothing and medications to those in need.  They also offer an array of social services to members of the community.
