CLARK, NJ - The Clark Fire Department visited Valley Road School and talked to students in grades K-2 about fire safety. The students learned there are many actions that they can take to stay safe.

After watching a video on fire safety, students learned about some of the equipment used to fight fires.  They explored the fire engine and had a chance to spray the fire hose.

At the end of their visit, the firefighters gave students fire hats and kid-friendly materials about staying safe.

"We thoroughly enjoyed the fire department's visit.  We are grateful for the lessons they taught our students on how to stay safe," stated Principal Joe Beltramba.
