Clark Librarian Visits Preschool for Story Time and More

CLARK, NJ – Clark preschoolers were treated to animated storytelling and a lesson about the library during a visit to their school by Stephanie Azzaro, of the Clark Public Library.  A field trip is planned for the preschool to visit the library in the spring.

The children were invited to Take Your Child to the Library Day at the Clark Public Library on February 25.  This community event is open to the public.

Each child that checks out a book on the day of the event will be entered into a drawing to win a $25 Barnes and Noble gift card.

Also at the event, Unique Creatures will bring six different live animals to the library for children to see.  The program begins at 2:00 p.m.

According to school officials, reading to your child is an important part of building a solid foundation for academic excellence.  Some of the benefits are a higher aptitude for learning, reinforcement of basic sounds that form language, and the attainment of valuable communication skills.
