The Clark Little League All Stars just concluded a very successful week.  Both the 11-year old and 12-year-old divisions won their NJ District 10 tournament championships. 

The 12s won their third straight NJ District 10 championship as a team which began as 10-year-olds. In the district tournament they went 9-0, outscoring opponents 108-3.  The pitching deep Clark 12s begin their journey in the tough NJ Section 3 LL tournament Saturday, July 18 at 4:30 p.m. at the Manchester Little League complex. They go up agains perennial NJ powerhouse Nottingham Little League. 

The 11s were dominant in their own right as they went 4-0 in their NJ District 10 tournament, culminating in a 10-0 win over Sayreville in the final.  This was a repeat for the 11s, as they also won the title as 10-year-olds.  The  District 10 champions advance to the Section 3 tournament in Marlboro from  July 30 – August 6.

The winners of the NJ Section 3 tournaments advance to the NJ State Tournament.  The winners of the NJ State Tournament advance to the Regional Tournament in Bristol, Connecticut.   Finally the  winners of all the US regionals head to Williamsport, Pennsylvania for the Little League World Series. 

Today we can day dream about Williamsport.  Clark may be just a clutch hit or a great play away from making it to the Little League International World Series.  They should keep their  calendars open in August just in case….
