CLARK, NJ - Did you know having just one meal a day with your child, could decrease the likelihood that he or she will try marijuana by up to two-thirds?
According to the Partnership for a Drug-Free America, statistics demonstrate children who have meals with adults at home are less likely to use drugs.
To raise awareness about how to communicate with children about drugs and alcohol, Carl H. Kumpf Middle School is hosting a 15-Minute Child Break. The session will be held on March 1 from 6:30 - 7:30 p.m. in the library prior to the school’s monthly PTA meeting.
Topics to be covered include underage drinking, marijuana use, identifying risk factors, communication skills and more.
The program is open to all parents with children in grades 5-8 attending the Clark Public Schools.
