CLARK, NJ – The Clark Pop Warner program announced the names of its football players and cheerleaders who have earned recognition as 2015 Pop Warner All American Scholars.

Pop Warner, a national youth sports organization, requires program participants to maintain an adequate academic performance in order to play.  Students in fifth grade or higher and who maintain a 96 percent or better grade point average are also eligible for special recognition through the All American Scholar program.  First team recognition is given to just the top 35 football players and 35 cheerleaders in the United States per grade level.  Second team recognition is reserved for the next 65 percent of participants.  Honorable mention is then given to the remaining athletes who have maintained the GPA eligibility.

According to the Pop Warner website, just 2 percent of participants nationwide earn the designation “Pop Warner All-American Scholar.”
