CLARK, NJ - The Clark Public School District held its first Parent University Community Education Session, Paint Night with Mr. Peitz. The event was held in the Arthur L. Johnson High School Cafeteria on December 14 and was open to parents and students in the district. Led by Carl H. Kumpf Middle School art teacher Mr. Peitz and student assistants, the group painted a winter wonderland scene.
“I love finding ways to bring art into the schools, so I was excited when Mrs. Broski approached me about Paint Night,” said Peitz.
Paint Night was part of the district’s Parent University program, which will include other community education nights in addition to parent teas and two larger assembly-type programs. The program also includes virtual sessions that can be found on the district’s website under Parent University as well as on the district’s Facebook and Twitter pages.
“We would like to thank all of the parents and students who attended Paint Night. It was a great night that brought the school community together,” said Christine Casale Broski, Supervisor of Educational Initiatives and organizer of the event.
