CLARK, NJ – Clark School Counselor Sarah Badillo recently hosted a pre-recorded Parent University session designed to help parents and guardians communicate with their children.
“Strategies for Communicating Effectively with Your Child” shared helpful tips on how to engage children in meaningful conversations that foster positive self-esteem and helps to build relationships.
“As a parent and an educator, I know that effective communication with a child can be difficult at times but also very rewarding,” said Badillo. “When children know that we are truly listening we are setting them up for greater success. In creating this presentation, I hope that parents, grandparents, and educators can take away some tips to open the lines of communication with their child(ren) because the end result with be worth it.”
