Clark Receives $75K From Union County Grant Programs

ELIZABETH, NJ –  Clark Recreation Director Ralph Bernardo traveled to Elizabeth Thursday night, to accept two Union County grants on behalf of the township.

This week’s Union County Board of Chosen Freeholders meeting was dedicated exclusively to the presentation of checks.  “Senior Focus” and “Infrastructure and Municipal Aid” grants were presented to mayors, council members and representatives from towns across the county.

Clark received $25,000 for senior citizen fitness equipment and $50,000 for the roadway improvement project.

Infrastructure and Municipal Aid Grants ranged from $15,000 to $100,000 for a total of $1.5m across the county. “That’s $1.5 million which will be backed up by the municipality. That’s $3 million in roads and infrastructure improvements this year – $9 million over the last three years,” Freeholder Christopher Hudak said.
