Feast-goers ventured guesses of the number of candies in the jar at the recent Italian-American feast in Clark.

CLARK, NJ - Silvia Jacobsen has an eye for calculations and a system for strategizing which helped her win a jar filled with Hershey's Kisses on display on the TAPinto Clark table at the UNICO Italian-American Feast over Columbus Day Weekend.

Jacobsen's mother Digna Jacobsen said her daughter has won these types of contest before.   In the end Silvia Jacobsen entered the winning guess of 467 Kisses, just shy of the actual 477 candies in the jar.  The winning number had to be closest to the actual number of candies without going over.

Other noteworthy guesses that were close to the actual number included 450, 451 and 462.

Politics IS Government in Union County

April 21, 2018
