CLARK, NJ - There were 84 new cases of coronavirus in Clark in less than two weeks. This is the highest rise in reported cases in Clark during any two-week period since the second wave of the pandemic started. According to Clark Health Officer Nancy Raymond, case totals have risen to 804 for the township as of January 5.
Of the total cases 772 have been interviewed and closed and 32 still require investigation. Closed cases include those investigated, recovered, recovering, and deceased according to Raymond.
These numbers come in as New Jersey works to vaccinate healthcare workers during phase 1A of the state’s distribution plan. Governor Murphy was pleased with Tuesday’s rollout of the statewide vaccination registration portal.
