Clark Student Offered Ride Home by Stranger, Police Say

CLARK, NJ – Clark Police issued a notice to residents today about a possible attempted luring of a 12 year old girl during her walk home from Kumpf Middle School.   

According to police, the child was near St. Agnes Church on Madison Hill Road when a thin white male with grayish white hair  in his late sixties or seventies approached her in a white, late model sedan.   

The driver asked the girl if she needed a ride home.

Police indicated the incident although reported now, actually took place on September 13. There are no other descriptions of the vehicle or the driver.

A similar incident took place in Kenilworth  recently.
