Clark's Hehnly Second Graders Celebrate Fall Feast

CLARK, NJ -  Second graders at Hehnly Elementary School in Clark celebrated fall with a feast. The feast coincided with the end of a unit on manners.

Students came to school dressed for the feast and had an opportunity to learn how to properly set a table for the feast.   Each child set their own placemat with the proper cups, plates, and utensils. They then enjoyed the food and a fruit dessert.

According to one school official, the students  were very excited to practice their manners and were ready to help their families prepare for Thanksgiving.

“I loved seeing my students dressed in their fancy feast attire and practicing their table manners. They all passed their test of setting a table properly and using proper table manners. I am thankful for all of my students,” stated Mrs. Venezio.

Cranford Man Dies after Wrong-Way Crash on Route 9

April 10, 2018

WOODBRIDGE, NJ – A Cranford man died after his car collided with another vehicle on Route 9 on Sunday.

Thomas McHugh, 88, was driving north in the southbound fast lane on Route 9, where he crashed head-on into another vehicle. On impact, one of the cars caught fire, according to Sgt. Jim Chessere of the Woodbridge Police Department.
