Crusader Softball Dominates Cranford in Opening Day Play

CRANFORD, NJ – The softball season is off to a resounding start for the Arthur L. Johnson girls varsity team, who dominated over Cranford in opening day play on Wednesday.  Solid hitting resulted in a 9-1 victory on the road.

Kristen Meagler hit a solo home run and went 3 for 4 in the game. Gabby Zatho was 4 for 4 at the plate, scoring two runs, an RBI and stealing two bases. 

Crusader pitcher Gianna Randazza gave up one run on three hits to record her first victory of season.

Cranford remained scoreless until Jillian Skalski scored a run in the sixth.

The Crusaders travel to Linden on Tuesday, April 11 for an 11 a.m. game.  Cranford travels to New Providence today at 4 p.m.

NJ American Water Working to Replace Water Mains in Clark
