CLARK, NJ - While working on their Readyman activity badge, Webelos Cub Scouts from Pack 145 visited the Clark First Aid Squad. Readyman is one of several badges the boys must earn as they work toward their Arrow of Light, the highest award in Cub Scouting. The badge requires the boys to learn about first aid, hurry cases, swimming safety, the Heimlich maneuver and other safety and emergency response topics.
George Olear of the Clark First Aid Squad introduced the boys to first aid procedures and gave the boys a tour of the ambulance. The boys then had the opportunity to practice their skills by bandaging each other.
The boys enjoyed their time at the First Aid Squad and extend their thanks to Olear for providing an excellent program and a great learning experience.
