Donation Days at the Jumble Store Every Wednesday!

Clean out your closets, fill up your soul! The Jumble Store, a non-profit thrift store located at 110 Walnut St in Cranford and operated by the Junior League of Elizabeth-Plainfield, is going to be hosting afternoon "Donation Days" on Wednesdays starting July 22th for express donation drop offs.  The store will be open from 4:00pm – 6:00pm for you to drive by your donations and volunteers will bring them inside and process a tax receipt.  Donation items can include women's, men's and children's clothing, housewares, accessories and toys etc.  If you cannot make it to one of these days but have items to contribute  to the store please contact Donna Laterza at information@jlepnj.org and we will be glad to make alternate drop off arrangements.

The Junior League of Elizabeth-Plainfield is a non-profit women’s organization dedicated to achieving lasting community impact through the efforts of our volunteers and to the development of the leadership potential of women.  The JLEP currently runs the Career Closet, which provides free business clothing to woment re-entering the workforce in need of career wear. In the past 12 years, we provided free suits, shoes and accessories to over 1400 women. The JLEP is please to announce our newest community service project, The Teen Closet, which provides resume, college essay editing services and career clothes to high school-aged teen girls. Cranford Man Dies after Wrong-Way Crash on Route 9

April 10, 2018

WOODBRIDGE, NJ – A Cranford man died after his car collided with another vehicle on Route 9 on Sunday.

Thomas McHugh, 88, was driving north in the southbound fast lane on Route 9, where he crashed head-on into another vehicle. On impact, one of the cars caught fire, according to Sgt. Jim Chessere of the Woodbridge Police Department.
