EDISON, NJ - Established in 1987, Edison Heating and Cooling began as a one-man operation run out of the basement of Michael Iarrapino’s childhood home. At the time, he assisted customers from his hometown of Edison and the surrounding communities but as business grew, Edison Heating and Cooling moved into larger facilities throughout South Plainfield, operating on Metuchen Road, New Market Avenue and McKinley Street. In May 2015, the company, which employees approximately 85 people, relocated to 191 Vineyard Road in Edison.

A full-service residential, commercial and industrial HVAC company providing installations, repair and maintenance, heating and cooling systems, generators, oil to gas conversion, air cleaners, humidifiers/dehumidifiers, boilers, water heaters, zoning systems and chimney liners. Additionally, the company – which today services Bergen, Essex, Hunterdon, Mercer, Middlesex, Monmouth, Morris, Ocean, Somerset and Union counties – provides customers with financing options and access to 24-hour emergency service seven days a week, 365 days a year.

According to Michael Iarrapino, who runs the company and serves as its president, no job is too big or too small.’ “Commercial, residential, industrial – we do it all,” he said. “Our goal is 100-percent customer satisfaction.”

Edison’s 35,000-plus square-foot facility is stocked with a full line of service and installation parts and equipment and also features a fully automated sheet metal shop. All of the company’s service and installation crews drive specially designed vehicles to store parts and tools so that problems can be accurately pinpointed and corrected quickly and efficiently. Additionally, all technicians are trained, certified, licensed and full-time Edison Heating and Cooling employees, not sub-contractors, who are knowledgeable about state codes and building regulations and who can sell, install and service all makes and models of HVAC equipment.

“What sets us apart is our dedication, reliability, integrity and great workmanship,” said Michael Iarrapino, adding, “With us, you aren’t buying an air conditioning or a heating system you’re buying into a company and its dedicated employees. We stand by our products and our work and we go out of the way for our customers. The awards and the reviews we have received prove that.”

Listed with the Better Business Bureau as an accredited business, Edison Heating and Cooling maintains an A+ rating and has been the recipient of numerous awards, including the ‘The Angie’s List Super Service Award’ (2013), the Carrier President’s Award (2013 and 2014) and, over the years, has received the ‘Dave Lennox’ award and the Lennox ‘Circle of Excellence Dealer’ award numerous times.
