The popular cabaret fundraiser “October Surprise” returns to First Congregational Church (FCC) on Saturday, October 22nd at 7 pm in the church’s Patton Auditorium at 125 Elmer Street in Westfield.  The evening features a lively revue of show tunes and comedy under the direction of award-winning cabaret pianist Joe Regan. Desserts and coffee are served.  This event is free and open to the public.

Acclaimed actress, singer and songwriter Elaine Brier, known for her comedic songs, will once again share the stage with Mr. Regan. Joining them are a roster of cabaret and theatre performers from the metropolitan area.

Joe Regan, FCC assistant director of music, is a professional pianist/singer who performs at piano bars, and cabaret rooms in NYC.   He can currently be seen at “Don’t Tell Mama” every Tuesday from 9pm-3am in Manhattan and on Fridays and Sundays at "16 Prospect" here in Westfield.

First hosted by the FCC in 2003, “October Surprise” has become an eagerly-awaited annual event.  Admission is free and raffle tickets will be sold for a chance to win several themed gift baskets.  All proceeds benefit the church’s various ministries.  Doors open at 6:30 pm; seating is limited and reservations are suggested.  Please contact the church office at 908-233-2494 or e-mail uccfcc@verizon.net to reserve.  For additional information, visit their website atwww.fccofwestfield.org.
